Hackers with something to give
Charity Hackers Association was founded by Shahmeer Amir, who wanted to work for the betterment of society regardless of race, nation or religion. Giving should be free of any kind of discrimination, and picking and choosing which people deserve help is not what we are about.
We are about demonstrating that hackers hold astonishing skills that can change charitable organisations. We are about stepping into the gap to support and educate the world's most vulnerable people. We are virtual, geographically diverse and deliberately different.
Funds are spent on saving lives: making people independent through skills or an income source, providing healthcare, and responding to disastrous conditions — whatever the ailment happens to be.
What we do
Donate your money
Give what you can, in any currency. Every contribution goes into an open campaign, and small gifts add up faster than most people expect.
Donate your skills
Somewhere an organisation urgently needs what you already do well and cannot afford to hire it. Spare hours spent on security, engineering or research go further than most donations.
Run a campaign
If someone around you needs help, start a drive. We handle the visibility and the community; you bring the cause.
On donations
A donation is a gift given for charitable purposes: money, services, new or used goods including clothes, toys, food and vehicles. It can also be emergency relief, humanitarian aid, development support, or medical needs such as blood. Giving is a good idea at any income level — studies show that spending on others affects our own happiness more than spending on ourselves, and there are plenty of ways to contribute without going into debt.
